  17. The first wire is the RESET wire to the IDE drive. SOme drives (most noticably 
  18. CONNER) won't work anymore once they have received such a signal. This effect
  19. makes te machine work fine on a cold-boot, but when you do a C=-A-A it doesn't
  20. get recognised anymore.

  22. Unfortunately (as you have noticed) are there also a number of drives which
  23. _do_ want the RESET wire.
